Review:
I loved 'PS I Love You' and 'Where Rainbows End' was pretty good......So what happened Cecelia??!! Unfortunately, I thought 'A Place Called Here' was utter tripe. I tried several times to get into the book, and then spent a very determined weekend and few evenings getting through it. (That's really saying something for me as I am normally a voracious reader) It was like wading though porridge, and just about as entertaining. I wasn't too keen on 'If you could see me now' either, so I guess I should have seen this coming. It's not about the fantasy element of things, I loved the Harry Potter stuff and Terry Pratchets work, I just found this book completely turgid and one of the most boring books I have ever forced myself to read. Slow / no plot, a protagonist not even her mother would have ben interested in, far too long.....(probably should have been a short story) I'm sorry Cecelia, I soooooo wanted to enjoy this book but life's too short; I will never ever waste money or time on one of your books again.
