Okay, I'm only 12 years old. But, I've grown out of Beano (as you've probably gathered by this review). I Know You Got Soul is a riveting read. Magnificently written in every way. If I was a critic, and by no means am I, I'm certain I couldn't find a flaw with it.
This book is a compilation of 21 marvellous machines that have something that other machines just haven't got. The list includes Concorde, the AK47, the Spitfire, Yamato, the Millennium Falcon, the B-52, the Graf Zeppelin and many others. As soon as I started reading this book, I could see where he was coming from.
In this spectacular read, Clarkson explains the machines that he thinks have soul, and he's not afraid to tell you what doesn't.
With his usual style, wit, unruly humour, and plain exagerration, Jezza tells the story of how these machines came to be, what their purpose is. And why they have soul.
If you're planning to go on holiday in the near future, or happen to be sitting in your living room, sipping a cup of tea, bored...and want something to read, look no further.
The RRP is £18.99. "Phwoar!" you may be thinking. But come on. What better way can you think of to spend 19 quid?
Didn't think so.
